Home Internet Service We Provide

GAT Global provides internet service of KT (Korea Telecom), SK Broadband, and LG U+. Plans typically range from basic speeds (around 100 Mbps) to ultra-high-speed plans (1 Gbps or more), depending on the area and service provider

Registration Process:

Registration Process

Internet Service Providers (ISPs):

  • SKT: SK Broadband, part of the SK Group, provides fiber-optic internet services under its “Btv” brand, including high-speed Giga Internet plans. Registration starts from basic speeds with a cost of 24,200 won, which is the most cost-effective price for a single to two-person household.

  • KT: KT is one of South Korea’s largest telecom providers and offers a range of high-speed internet services with extensive coverage across the country. Although it is higher in cost compared to other telecom providers, it is the best choice for business users.

  • LGU+: LG Uplus offers Giga Internet plans with a focus on high-speed services for streaming and gaming. It is a popular choice for users who value competitive bundled packages, including mobile, internet, and TV services.

Registration Process: Some services require self-registration (e.g., SKT broadband can only be registered when the customer sends the required documents via email). Most services need your ID card and bank account details. Some services may also require advance payment (e.g., KT home internet requires prepayment for the contract duration, which includes installation fees, monthly plan charges, router rental fees, and modem rental fees).

Scheduling the Installation: After completing the application, schedule a visit from the installation technician. Installation is typically available within 1-3 days after applying, though it may take longer during busy periods.

Preparing Equipment: When the technician arrives, they will bring necessary equipment such as the modem and WiFi router. For SKT broadband, the installation fee is 36,300 won on working days and 45,500 won on holidays. For KT, installation and rental fees may apply.

Installation: The technician connects the line to the designated location and installs the modem and router. If there is no RJ-45 LAN port in the wall, additional wiring or setup may be required.

WiFi Setup and Testing: After installation, set the WiFi network name (SSID) and

password. The technician will test the internet speed and connection quality to ensure everything is working properly.

User Confirmation and Completion: Once the connection is confirmed to be stable, the user verifies the setup with the technician. The technician will also provide details on contract terms, fees, and service conditions, and collect a signature on the necessary documents to complete the installation.

Service Use and Maintenance: After installation, you can start using the internet immediately. If any issues arise post-installation, contact GAT Global for assistance or additional support.

Convenient Even When Moving: When moving, you can request a re-installation of your home internet service through our team.

Contact Customer Service: Reach out to customer service before your move to arrange the re-installation.

Schedule the Reinstallation Date: Coordinate a date for the technicians to set up the internet at your new location. It’s best to schedule this as early as possible.

Reinstallation Fee: There may be a reinstallation or transfer fee, which varies depending on the service provider’s policy. Sometimes, promotions or long-term contracts may reduce or waive this fee.

Special Cases: In the event that your new location cannot accommodate internet installation, you will not be charged cancellation fees.

Termination: Reach out to GAT customer support through phone, Facebook, Instagram, or our online portal. Speak with a representative regarding cancellation to understand the specific steps required.

Review Contract Terms: Before canceling, review your contract to see if there are any early termination fees or penalties. Many internet providers charge fees for canceling before the end of the contract term.

Return Equipment: You may need to return any rented equipment, such as routers or modems. Technicians from respective providers will pick up the items after you terminate the service.

Request Final Billing Details: Clarify any outstanding balances or final charges, including service credits or refunds. For postpaid services, the final charges will be included in the upcoming month’s bill.

Confirm Cancellation: After processing your request, ask for a cancellation confirmation, such as a reference number, email, or other documentation that verifies the end of your service. You can also check your SMS for confirmation.
